School Council
The All Saints' School Council is made up of one boy and one girl representative from each class from Year 1 to Year 6. The Councillors are elected by members of their class at the beginning of an academic year.
The School Council meets with the Deputy Headteacher once every half term to bring forward suggestions and discuss a range of issues, which can include:
-
Issues in the school
-
Solutions suggested by the classes
-
Ideas to help improve the school’s environment
-
Events in school
-
Fundraising activities
Here are some of the things that All Saints have achieved this year:
-
Introduced playground buddies and requested new bibs for them to wear so that they can be easily seen.
-
Campaigned to improve the lunch menu
-
Made requests for new playground equipment, such as new basketball hoops, table tennis bats/balls and football posts.
-
Organised, held auditions and ran a whole school talent show.
School Council is a wonderful opportunity for the children to really make a difference to our school, as well as boosting their self-confidence and communication skills.
